Laura Robinson, BA, LLB

Laura Robinson received her call to the bar in 2010 and has been practising exclusively in the area of criminal law.
She routinely appears in all court levels in Manitoba representing clients charged under the Criminal Code of Canada, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and the Youth Criminal Justice Act. She has experience dealing with all manner of offences, which has included violent crimes (assaults, robberies, sexual assaults, homicides), property offences (thefts, have possession of), drug offences, driving offences (impaired driving, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified), and weapons offences. Additionally, she has experience handling Child Abuse Registry cases, extradition matters, and Criminal Code Mental Health Review Board matters.
In her years practising, she has successfully defended clients in trials before judges and juries, argued complex Charter issues, assisted with the sentencing processes, and advanced appeals on convictions and sentences. Laura has lectured to law students as well as other lawyers and routinely volunteers her time mentoring students in a variety of areas.
